Herrington on the Bay is hiring students age 14+ for part-time, weekend work from March – November as Catering & Kitchen Staff for Special Events. We will be having a Group Interview on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 4pm. Those that are hired will have Training Dates on weekday evenings in March & April before our busy season starts. Prince Frederick Masonic Lodge #142 will offer a $500 scholarship to one senior from each high school within Calvert County. We then submit one student from all four high schools to our state lodge; to compete against all high schools across the state for the chance to receive a $5000 or $2500 scholarship. The submission deadline is March 1st. The intern will learn how to document program design, code, 3-D manufacturing, plan test events, and participate in live aircraft and sUAS testing.

Miss Utility will select one student from each of the eight regions outlined in the application covering Maryland and Washington, D.C., to receive a $1,008.11 single-year scholarship. The application period will run from January 2018 to April 6, 2018. Scholarship recipients will be notified in May 2018. To be eligible, applicants must be on track to graduate from a Maryland or Washington, D.C., high school in spring 2018, intend to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or technical school beginning in fall 2018, and have participated in extracurricular activities. A rigorous application review process will consider grades in relevant coursework, a personal essay and letter of recommendation.
