With other academically talented high school students, you’ll pursue an academic interest, engage with dynamic faculty, enjoy UMD’s outstanding facilities and amenities, and get a jump on college by earning three university credits. During three remarkable weeks—whether commuting or living on campus—Terp Scholars fully experience university life at Maryland!
For the fourth year, the College Board is hosting its annual Collegiance College Decision Day social media contest to celebrate college-bound students across the country.
Students who share a video, Boomerang or photo announcing their college decision with the hashtag #Collegiance on Instagram will be entered for a chance to win $5,000.
This year, Maryland students can enter for an additional opportunity to win money for college. Maryland students can include #CollegianceMD in their post for a chance to win $500.

The FDA Pathways Team has prepared a second, summer-only vacancy announcement that opens, Monday, April 16, 2018, in the following locations Laurel & Baltimore, MD, Alameda & San Francisco, CA, College Park, GA, Bensenville & Chicago, IL and Salt Lake City, UT. Reach out to and share with interested parties, local schools and career centers to notify them of this vacancy announcement to increase their applicant pool.
In order to qualify for the Pathways Internship Program, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria and the qualification requirements corresponding to the grade level at which they wish to be considered by the closing date of the announcement:
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school or accepted for enrollment as a degree seeking student in an accredited vocational or technical institution, 2- or 4- year college/university or graduate/professional school; taking a minimum half-time load of courses; possessing and maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 on a scale of 4.0; and pursuing any of the following academic degrees:
GS-01: Enrollment in a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) program.
GS-02: Completion of high school or GED diploma.
GS-03: Completion of 1 full academic year (30 semester/45 quarter units) of post-high school study.
GS-04: Completion of 2 full academic years (60 semester/90 quarter units) of post-high school study or an associate's degree.
GS-05: Completion of 4 academic years (120 semester/180 quarter units) of post high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.
GS-07: Completion of one full academic year of graduate level education (18 semester/27 quarter units); or eligibility under Superior Academic
Achievement provision and completion of a bachelor's degree.
One full academic year of undergraduate; graduate; vocational; trades; technical or high school education is the number of credit hours determined by the college, university or school to represent 1 year of full-time study. If this information cannot be confirmed from your application, we will use OPM's qualification standard guidance. The high school curriculum must be approved by a State or local governing body. All education beyond high school must be accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
The application closes 4/20 and has been available for applications since 4/16. The sooner someone applies the better. There are several vacancies available throughout the US to include locally within MD in Laurel and Baltimore.

This FREE program is designed for students entering grades 10-12 who would like to be involved in quality programs while gaining valuable work training and volunteer experience. There is no fee to participate in the CIT program. CITs work alongside Annmarie senior staff and camp faculty assisting with summer camps.
Typically, CITs sign up for weeklong increments, either half day or full day shifts. Teens can request to assist with as many weeklong sessions as they like during the summer camp season. This flexible program can accommodate any schedule!
At Annmarie, we believe that teens learn best in activities that expose them to a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and abilities – teachers, peers, CITs, and camp counselors. CITs participate in all camp activities, and even design their own games and art activities for the kids.
