Night of Engineering is an opportunity to learn about the College of Southern Maryland’s Mechanical and Electrical Engineering partnership with the University of Maryland College Park and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) located at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in St. Mary’s County.

The Wendy's® High School Heisman® Scholarship application is open for students graduating with the class of 2018.
This year, Wendy's® will be awarding 100 students from across the nation with $150,000 in scholarships.
Wendy's is looking for scholar-athletes like last year's National Winner Frelicia Tucker, a tennis and track and field star who uses her work ethic and passion for excellence to inspire others and champion causes she believes in. Since 1994, Wendy's has been partnering with the biggest name in college football, Heisman®, to support education, recognize achievements, and celebrate students through the Wendy's High School Heisman.

Frostburg’s College of Education would like to invite seniors interested in teacher education programs to a special event at Martin’s West in Baltimore on the evening of Tuesday, October 10.
Frostburg Teaches will assemble Frostburg alumni, current students, and faculty of the College of Education to showcase the fantastic opportunities offered by our wide variety of programs. Seniors will also have the chance to speak to an FSU Admissions representative, and on-site applications will be available for them to start the process rolling.
Frostburg State University has a history of producing exceptional teachers, with more than 4,000 public educators in the state of Maryland holding degrees from FSU. I encourage you to spread the word about this event to your seniors who have expressed interest in this field.

Terrapinoy Day is an annual one-day event hosted by the Filipino Cultural Association (FCA) at the University of Maryland, College Park. This event is open to local youth and features a series of developmental workshops from how to choose a major based on your interest to establishing a healthy lifestyle to practicing employable skills and more.

Awards: Four College Scholarships
1st Scholarship: $5,000; 2nd Scholarship: $3,000; 3rd Scholarship: $2,000; 4th Scholarship: $1,000
Eligibility: The Contest is open to all college-bound, high school seniors who submit an essay application through a Chapter of the Fraternity Contest Closes: October 20, 2017
The essay must be entitled:
“What Actions Can You Take to Promote Social Justice and Embrace Diversity of All People”
The essay must be original and neither previously published nor secured by copyright. The essay must be between 700 and 750 words in length.
The type-written, double-spaced essay may be submitted via postal service or email in Microsoft Word
The manuscript must be postmarked or time stamped on the email not later than midnight,
October 20, 2017, and sent to an Omega Psi Phi Chapter Sponsoring the Essay Contest. Essays are not to be sent to the Fraternity’s Headquarters facility.
WACE, on behalf of the nine WACE Partner Institutions, is pleased to announce and sponsor its Sixteenth Annual National Co-op Scholarship Program. As the largest independently sponsored merit co-op scholarship program in the United States, WACE will award up to 160 merit co-op scholarships for a total value of $4,200,000. These merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education at one of our Partner Institutions listed on the Scholarship Partners tab.

On October 14th, 2017 we will be hosting our annual Fall Blitz Open House. This event serves as an opportunity for your students who may be interested in any type of business field to learn about the possibilities a career in Hospitality might afford them. As one of the world’s leading Hospitality Management programs, the Hilton College boasts a 93 % job placement rate and starting salaries well above the national average. The Business degree allows students the opportunity to learn about the Hotel, Restaurant, Gaming, Event Management, Beverage, Spa, and Country Club industries. At the Hilton College Fall Blitz, students will have the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship by submitting a sealed transcript and 250 word essay on why hospitality is a good career for them. This is a competitive scholarship that will be awarded to students who enroll in the Hilton College at the University of Houston.
During the program students will have the opportunity to network with industry partners, meet alumni, interact with current students and faculty, and take tours of our learning hotel.

AES Scholarship Deadline Is Approaching
The deadline for the 12th annual AES Scholarship is October 6, 2017.
Purpose of ScholarshipsAES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.
Scholarship CriteriaOur belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to ApplyStudents must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?
