Some of our scholarships are agriculture related but not all of them, so we encourage all high school students to apply. We also have several that are specific to the state of MD! Anyone looking for scholarships to apply. The amounts of our scholarships range from $2,000 to $6,500, so it is definitely worthwhile for students to apply. To the Applicant: Since you will be judged upon the information you furnish in this application, give considerable thought to what information is being requested and to the substance of the data you will submit. Provide as much information about yourself as may be necessary to complete each section. Remember, the members of the Masonic Charities of Maryland, Inc. Selection Committee have not met you and have only this application by which to judge you. Additional pages of narrative or supporting documentation may be added to any section. Jacobus Scholarships were established by the Association of School Business Officials of Maryland and the District of Columbia to assist those citizens of the State and/or District who require financial assistance to secure a college education. Scholarships are awarded to deserving undergraduate students pursuing a career in Business or Education at an accredited institution of higher education within Maryland or the District of Columbia. Dwight P. Jacobus was the first Executive Director of ASBO. Number of Scholarships Ten (10) scholarships may be awarded each year. At least one scholarship will be awarded to an individual enrolled in an approved program leading to teacher certification.
