WACE, on behalf of the nine WACE Partner Institutions, is pleased to announce and sponsor its Sixteenth Annual National Co-op Scholarship Program. As the largest independently sponsored merit co-op scholarship program in the United States, WACE will award up to 160 merit co-op scholarships for a total value of $4,200,000. These merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education at one of our Partner Institutions listed on the Scholarship Partners tab.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 15, 2018* (POSTMARKED) * Please note deadline exceptions for Clarkson University, Drexel University, Merrimack College, SUNY Oswego and University of Massachusetts Lowell QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify for this scholarship, students must: • Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. • Apply for the 2018-2019 academic year at one of the WACE Partner Institutions listed. On October 14th, 2017 we will be hosting our annual Fall Blitz Open House. This event serves as an opportunity for your students who may be interested in any type of business field to learn about the possibilities a career in Hospitality might afford them. As one of the world’s leading Hospitality Management programs, the Hilton College boasts a 93 % job placement rate and starting salaries well above the national average. The Business degree allows students the opportunity to learn about the Hotel, Restaurant, Gaming, Event Management, Beverage, Spa, and Country Club industries. At the Hilton College Fall Blitz, students will have the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship by submitting a sealed transcript and 250 word essay on why hospitality is a good career for them. This is a competitive scholarship that will be awarded to students who enroll in the Hilton College at the University of Houston.
During the program students will have the opportunity to network with industry partners, meet alumni, interact with current students and faculty, and take tours of our learning hotel. AES Scholarship Deadline Is Approaching
The deadline for the 12th annual AES Scholarship is October 6, 2017. Purpose of ScholarshipsAES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education. Scholarship CriteriaOur belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. How to ApplyStudents must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?
