If you’re going to apply for the Calvert Local Scholarships (CLSA) start by requesting an official transcript from your counselor. Also you will need two letters of recommendation. They can come from teachers, administrators, coaches or a person in the community who knows you personally. If you haven't done so, create a resume. Deadline: March 1, 2020 The Maryland Higher Education Commission is happy to announce that the 2020-2021 Veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts (VAIC) Scholarship Program application is now available! To apply, you will need to create an account within the Maryland College Aid Processing System (MDCAPS). To create or log into your existing MDCAPS account (if applicable), please visit https://mdcaps.mhec.state.md.us/MDCAPS/login.aspx. Once you log into your MDCAPS account, you will see the "Apply" link where you may submit your application and view any additional documentation required for consideration of the scholarship. Please note that the VAIC application, the 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and all additional documents required must be submitted to the Office of Student Financial Assistance at the Maryland Higher Education Commission no later than March 1, 2020. For more information on the VAIC Scholarship Program or any other scholarships and grants offered through the state of Maryland, please visit www.mhec.maryland.gov. Deadline: March 1, 2020These scholarships are available through the Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation. The application link can be found at www.colonialfarmcredit.com/scholarships. Despite the “agriculture” in our name, students do not have to have an ag background or be majoring in an ag related field for all scholarships. The only main requirement is that they reside in one of the counties served in our territory (which can be seen on the locations page of our website). See flyer below. The amounts of our scholarships range from $2,000 to $6,500, so it is definitely worthwhile for students to apply. |
