With a core purpose of serving the education community, Educational Systems Federal Credit Union is once again offering scholarships and professional development awards for graduating seniors and employees of the seven Maryland counties that we serve. As a reminder, the deadline to apply for the scholarships and awards is Monday, April 1, 2019. This year, all of our scholarship information is also included on SupportEducation.org. Miss Utility/District One Call is accepting applications for its fifth annual college scholarship program for graduating high school seniors through Friday, April 5. Click here for the online application. If interested in submitting the application by mail, please find a traditional application form below. Miss Utility/District One Call will select one student from each of the eight regions outlined in the application covering Maryland and Washington, D.C., to receive a $1,008.11 single-year scholarship. Applications will be accepted until April 5, 2019. Scholarship recipients will be notified in May 2019. To be eligible, applicants must be on track to graduate from a Maryland or Washington, D.C., high school in spring 2019 and intend to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or technical school beginning in fall 2019. A rigorous application review process will consider the personal essay, grades, involvement in extracurricular activities and letter(s) of recommendation. The completed application and official transcripts must be received on or before 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019. Children’s Aid, Inc. George & Mary Lou Brezina Memorial Scholarship Children’s Aid, Inc. will award a one-time $1,000 scholarship providing financial assistance to a student graduating from a Calvert County public high school for undergraduate study in the field of Education. Criteria: To be eligible for consideration, the student must: 1. Be a resident of Calvert County. 2. Be a graduating high school senior enrolled in one of Calvert County’s public high schools. 3. Have a GPA of 3.0 or above. 4. Be an Education major. DEADLINE for scholarship applications is Monday, April 15, 2019. (no exceptions). Paul Taylor Memorial Scholarship The Paul Taylor Memorial Scholarship is a one-time $1,000 scholarship providing financial assistance to a student graduating from a Calvert County public high school who is pursuing an undergraduate, associate degree or Career and Technical Education (CTE) training (skilled trade/vocation) in an automotive related field Criteria: To be eligible for consideration, the student must: 1. Be a resident of Calvert County 2. Be a graduating high school senior enrolled in one of Calvert County’s public high schools 3. Have a GPA of 2.5 or above 4. Be enrolled in the Calvert Career and Technology Academy 5. Be pursuing an undergraduate, associate degree or Career and Technical Education (CTE) training (skilled trade/vocation) in an automotive related field DEADLINE for scholarship applications is Monday, April 15, 2019.
