National Capital Environmental Scholarship Program
Miss Utility will select one student from each of the eight regions outlined in the application covering Maryland and Washington, D.C. to receive a $1,008.11 single-year scholarship. The application period will run from January 2017 to April 21, 2017.
Scholarship recipients will be notified in early May 2017.
To be eligible, applicants must be on track to graduate from a Maryland or Washington, D.C. high school in spring 2017, intend to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or technical school beginning in fall 2017, and have participated in extracurricular activities. A rigorous application review process will consider grades in relevant coursework, a personal essay and letter of recommendation.

the 12th Annual ASMC Southern Maryland Chapter Scholarship Awards for Spring 2017
We hope to appeal to high school seniors who desire to declare a business/financial related field as their major in college. There is a short timeframe for the application process and deadline, but we feel it is easily achievable by qualified applicants.
ASMC Southern Maryland Chapter will award at least (1) $500.00 scholarship to applicant(s) from the local Southern Maryland area assuming receipt of valid applications. It is at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee to award more than one, but no more than three (3) scholarships per year. Click below for more information and for the application.

Joseph J. Fox, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Joseph J. Fox, Jr. Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to three graduates of any Maryland high school who plan to major in education at an accredited college or university. Recipients of this scholarship must meet the specific criteria for each scholarship.
Each of the three scholarships are awarded for $2,000.00. Selected recipients will receive the scholarship funding upon presentation of a copy of a college or university tuition bill.
All applications must be submitted to the SoMIRAC Scholarship Committee Chairperson, and be postmarked by April 15, 2017.

Applicants can go to the SoMIRAC website www.somirac.org on June 3, 2017 to see if they have been selected as a scholarship winner. Winners will also receive a letter informing them of their selection for this scholarship.

About the Dorothy Marvil Memorial Scholarship
Eight, $3,000 Dorothy Marvil Memorial Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors, with one scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior from a school in each of the seven counties we serve.1
To submit your application, email the items listed below to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 3, 2017. In the email subject line, include Dorothy Marvil Memorial Scholarship. An application package that is incomplete or not emailed or postmarked on or before April 3, 2017 will not be considered. Educational Systems FCU employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to apply.

Answer the following essay question. Essay must be typed, Times New Roman, 12 pt, double spaced, with 1 inch margins. Essay must be a minimum of 250-500 words.
Hecht & Associates, LLC is offering a one-time $2,500 scholarship for a high school senior or college student in the Washington metropolitan area (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia).
To apply for this scholarship, students must create a short (up to 4 minute) video OR submit an essay (must be at least 1,000 words) telling us about one of the following things:
-Tell us about a time when you received help during a tough situation that you experienced growing up? Where did you find help? And how has this impacted your life and where you are today and how will you apply this lesson in your future career choices?
-Tell us about a time when you stuck up for someone else. How did you help him or her? What was the outcome? What did you learn from this experience that you would help you in your future or career path?
