On behalf of USC Summer Programs, we would like to invite you to apply for the USC Summer Scholarship for High School Students of Military Families. Highly-motivated high school students of active families in the military can apply to receive a full scholarship to attend a rigorous summer experience for 4-weeks. USC Summer Programs students preview “freshman year” at one of the world’s leading private research universities, earning college credits, studying in the same classrooms and laboratories, residing in the same residence halls, and dining in the same facilities as USC undergraduates. The completed online application with supporting documents must be submitted by Friday, January 27, 2023, at 4:00 pm PT. Incomplete applications cannot be considered. It is your responsibility to confirm all parts of the application have been “Marked Complete” and to “Submit” the application. We will notify applicants once an application is complete via email. Final decision notifications to all applicants will be emailed by mid-February. Describe how your community uniquely contributes to the broader AAPI experience. The Foundation 649 Scholarship is a grant of $4,000 over the course of 4 years that can be applied to college tuition and expenses. The application consists of a questionnaire and a short essay (1000 word maximum). Creativity is welcome - alternate media will also be accepted in place of the essay if the applicant chooses (e.g. film, photography, etc.). If you are selected as a recipient, with your permission, we plan to share your submission with our audiences. In addition, applicants should provide the FAFSA SAR (student aid report) that show their EFC (expected family contribution). The team at Fair Opportunity Project, an international education non-profit that started at Harvard and won Forbes 30 Under 30, is hosting a session to address some misconceptions about the college application and financial aid. The session will also give students (and parents!) access to free resources to support them along their college application journey, including help with standardized tests, college essays, scholarships, and financial aid. Date & Time: October 18th from 6:30-7:30 Each year the Maryland JCI Senate awards two $1,000 Scholarships to deserving seniors from Maryland high schools. The Maryland winners are chosen based on merit and need.
