To apply, a student or Parent/Guardian must be a member of the HHS PTSO. The scholarship can be used for any post-secondary education--4-year college, community college, trade school programs, etc.
Application deadline is March 1st. Students can still join the PTSO but must do so by the March 1st deadline. 2023-2024 HHS PTO Membership Dues - Cheddar Up The S-STEM Scholarship is a grant provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to the College of Southern Maryland that allows CSMD to provide eligible students with scholarships that last the duration of their two-year associate’s degree or until the grant expires, whichever comes first. Students awarded the S-STEM scholarship at CSMD who transfer to pursue a bachelor’s degree program in the STEM field at other institutions will be eligible (preferred but not guaranteed) for an S-STEM scholarship (covering tuition and fees). These scholarships are awarded to academically talented, low-income students intending to pursue a STEM career. Scholarship awarded is up to to $10,000/year.
Over $60,000 in scholarships to be awarded! 100 finalists will each receive a $500 scholarship. Six regional finalists will receive an additional $1500! One regional finalist will receive an additional $2500! One regional finalist will receive an additional $5000! The top recipient will receive a total scholarship of $7,000! Deadline is March 31.
The Asian American Student Union hosts the Yuri Kochiyama Leadership Program, which leverages the guidance of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American college students and Asian American Studies minors to educate local high school students on Asian Pacific Islander Desi American issues and advocacy. Over five weeks of programming - at no cost to the students - participants come together to learn about topics related to Asian American migrant groups, diasporic history, subverting Asian American stereotypes of success, cross-cultural student-led efforts to advance ethnic studies, healing from intergenerational trauma, and more.
Named for Japanese American activist Yuri Kochiyama, this program is a five-week, hybrid program that will be held every Saturday afternoon from 12:00-2:00PM designed for sophomores and juniors who are of BIPOC-identifying background (seniors and freshmen may apply and be accepted, if space is available). Every other week, sessions will be held in-person at the University of Maryland, College Park. Starting on Saturday, February 17th, and recurring weekly, BIPOC high school youth across the DMV will learn about the history of Asian American activism, strengthen their sense of identity through learning about cross-racial and intersectional community building, and develop peer solidarity with other BIPOC-identifying individuals at UMD and other high schoolers. Students in the program will be exposed to Asian American history, mental health, intersectional issues, and more. The Mary Casey scholarship is a one-time grant, designed to assist students pursuing further education. The scholarships are intended to recognize outstanding graduating seniors at Huntingtown High School.
Designed for class of 2024 high school seniors or graduates in Maryland who are active in model railroading and will be pursuing a degree in one of the STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Math). The Scholarship grant amount is $2,500. Send any questions to [email protected]
Application Deadline: April 30, 2024 The Zaching Against Cancer Foundation (ZACF) is proud to present six Spirit Award Scholarships to Maryland students who have excelled in High School while overcoming personal hardships relating to cancer. Hardships include being a cancer survivor, a caregiver for someone with cancer, or a relative of a person with cancer. ZACF will provide six $2,500 scholarships to Maryland High School students in public or private schools who are planning to attend a two- or four-year college or trade school.

The Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation has scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $6,500 available for the 2024 school year. High school seniors and current college or trade school students can apply.
