The Calvert County Sportsman’s Club of Prince Frederick each year awards two (2) scholarships providing financial assistance to students graduating from Calvert County public or private high schools for undergraduate study in the field of their choice at a college, university, or trade school. The recipient of the 2023 Ira Rosenzwog Memorial Scholarship will be a student who shows courage when dealing with epilepsy and seizures, a strong commitment to their education, and must reside in Maryland.
Deadline: Must be post-marked by May 15, 2023 Graduating high school seniors in Maryland may apply to the Maryland JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship Program. A $1,500 grant will be awarded to a graduating high school senior in Maryland, who plans to continue their education at a trade or vocational school. This program is open to both high school seniors and current college students who plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational school in Fall 2023. The University of Mississippi Arabic Language Flagship Program offers high school students the opportunity to gain cultural competency and language proficiency through a summer intensive course for beginners in Arabic. Students selected for this competitive program will join a small cohort of dedicated language learning, earning 6 college credit in this month-long session (July). Arabic has been identified as a critical need language valued by employers and organizations across the globe, so the UM Summer Arabic Language Institute offers students a foundation for advancement in many career pathways.
Regular Application and Paperwork Due: April 1, 2022 Students who attend the program will receive a $1,000 scholarship, and they can still apply for other scholarships based on merit and financial need. College of Southern Maryland has been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the S-STEM grant. By applying to the STEM Scholars program you may be eligible for this award. You must be a greater than ½ time student intending to pursue a degree in a STEM field.
The Marist Summer Pre-College Program gives rising high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take hands-on college-level courses in a variety of subject areas, learn from experienced faculty, and earn three transferable college credits.
