2019 Summer Intern at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum February 1, 2019 The Education Department at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum (JPPM) is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and organized individual committed to facilitating outdoor educational experiences. Duties will include working with children of all ages in summer camps and educational programs, helping with maintenance of the Woodland Indian Village, and assisting the Education Staff with their duties. We are looking for candidates with experience working with children in an educational setting (e.g. camps, classrooms, museums), as well as familiarity working outdoors and with hand tools. Applicants should have a high school diploma/GED, or will graduate by start of job. Students currently enrolled in, or who have recently graduated from, an accredited undergraduate program in the following areas are preferred: outdoor/environmental education, history, museum studies, historic preservation, anthropology/archaeology, natural sciences, theater, or related fields. This internship pays $12.50/hour for 400 hours (40hrs/wk for 10 weeks), starting in early June and continuing through mid-August, 2019. Your application should consist of a cover letter and resume.
