Essay contest is open to students currently in the 9th to 12th grades, including home schooled students. Submit essay to your local National Sojourners Chapter using the "Authorized Cover Sheet" below. Must be received by your National Sojourners Chapter by December 15th, 2017. Miss Tranquility & Lord Calvert Scholarship Contest![]() Below is a scholarship application for any students (between the ages of 16 and 19) that may be interested. Applications need to be turned in by 9/8/17. Winners of this scholarship (Elmer W. Fisher Memorial Scholarship) can receive $1,250. First runners up receive $500 and second runners up receive $250. ![]() For the first time since the 1970’s, the SAT will be offered in August. Students interested in taking the test on August 26th need to register by July 28th to avoid the late fee (late registration due date is August 8th)! The next SAT after August won’t be until October 7th which may be too late for some seniors applying for early decision/action. ![]() Are you or do you know a female high school student interested in STEM? Please check out the Women in Aeronautics and Astronautics (WIAA) Student Organization’s second annual WIAA Day! We are holding the second annual WIAA Day on Sunday, April 23rd at the University of Maryland College Park’s campus. We are inviting 175 female high school students (on a first-come, first-serve basis) and a parent to learn about exciting field of aerospace engineering with WIAA. The event will include speeches from two inspiring women leaders in the aerospace industry. The students will also work in teams to design and present a ‘Mission to Mars’ to current members of the aerospace industry. There will be an information fair, a student/faculty panel, and numerous opportunities for interaction with current aerospace engineering students. A pizza lunch will be provided to all participants, and each student will receive a WIAA Day t-shirt. Please contact [email protected] with any questions. We hope to see you at WIAA Day! HHS Athletic Booster Club Athletic Excellence Scholarship![]() These scholarships are one-time grants, designed to assist students. The Scholarships are intended to recognize outstanding graduating athletes at Huntingtown High School. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their athletic success, perseverance, dedication, sportsmanship, and leadership. To be considered for a scholarship, a student must meet specific criteria...see application below.
